For more than fifty years, our family’s history in Southeast Alaska has lived on the shores of Good Bay. This is not only the original site of our pre-yacht bear camp, but the birthplace of Glacier Guides.
Good Bay is where it all began. A small cabin in the wilderness, a skiff on the shoreline, and a vision for what guided hunting in Southeast Alaska could become. After decades of overgrowth and quiet, we’re bringing that history back to life. A new log cabin now stands where our family’s original bear camp once welcomed hunters, perched on the edge of the Fortress of the Bears. It’s a return to the land that shaped us, and an invitation to experience Alaska the way it was meant to be: wild, storied, and unforgettable.
On the shores of Good Bay, the birthplace of our original bear camp, we’re honored to say we have restored that legacy with a handcrafted log cabin overlooking the iconic Fortress of the Bears, inside Admiralty Island National Monument.
