Welcome Aboard Glacier Guides!

With over 40 years of guiding experience in Southeast Alaska and Glacier Bay National Park, Glacier Guides, Inc. is an exceptional choice for your next hunting or fishing adventure in the Alaska wilderness. Glacier Guides, Inc. was formed in 1974 by Master Guides Jimmie C. and MaryAnn Rosenbruch. Over the years, the business has grown to be one of the largest professional Guide/Outfitter operations in the State of Alaska. Glacier Guides is family-owned and operated, with several of Jim and MaryAnn’s children and their spouses involved in the Glacier Guides, Inc. business.
SOUTHEAST ALASKA IS ONE OF THE MOST MAGICAL PLACES ON EARTH! Come let us show you this magnificent Alaskan country onboard our flagship vessel, the Alaskan Grandeur, our 78 foot custom yacht. The pristine Alaska Panhandle, sometimes referred to as Southeast Alaska, is the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Alaska, which lies west of the northern half of the Canadian province of British Columbia. The majority of the panhandle's area is part of the Tongass National Forest, the United States' largest national forest. In many places, the international border runs along the crest of the Boundary Ranges of the Coast Mountains. The region is noted for its mild rainy climate and beautiful scenery. Southeast Alaska is a temperate rain forest within the Pacific temperate rain forest zone, which extends from northern California to Prince William Sound. The most common tree species are Sitka Spruce and Western Hemlock. Wildlife includes Brown Bears, Black Bears, Wolves, Sitka Black-tail Deer, Humpback Whales, Orcas, five species of Salmon, Bald Eagles, Harlequin Ducks, Scoters, and Marbled Murrelets. We are anxious to share this wondrous place with you on your next hunting or fishing adventure!
ALASKA GLACIER GUIDES, INC. GUIDES ARE THE REAL DEAL!  JIMMIE C. ROSENBRUCH was the 2005 SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL HUNTER OF THE YEAR  AND HIS DAUGHTER,  ALISHA “MUTTS” ROSENBRUCH-DECKER,  was the 2008 SAFARI CLUB INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL HUNTER OF THE YEAR. The Alaska Professional Hunters Association and Safari Club International have a joint awards program for exceptional animals taken each year in the state. Since its’ inception, Glacier Guides has taken nearly every First, Second, and Third place award for Black Bear; with numerous awards for Brown Bear, Wolf, Mountain Goat, and Sitka Black-tail Deer over the years. Glacier Guides. Inc. is authorized use of the largest number of Guide Use Areas (GUA’s) in the state by the US Forest Service on the Tongass National Forest. What does this mean for you? We always have somewhere we can go to help make your hunt successful; and with yachts serving as mobile base camps, the move is comfortable!
GLACIER GUIDES, INC. IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING ETHICAL, FREE-RANGE, SPOT-AND-STALK HUNTING ADVENTURES. The pure form of hunting is something that may be viewed differently by each hunter, but when examined closely, there are some key elements that set “pure” Hunting apart from “shooting” or “collecting.” One thing is for sure; if you, as a Hunter, wish to come and experience some of the most dramatic and strikingly beautiful country in the world, with the added bonus of hunting some of the most magnificent creatures on the planet, then this is the adventure for you. Fair chase hunting, especially for difficult, rare, or larger trophies, may require more than one hunt. Glacier Guides maintains nearly 100% Shooting Opportunity for trophy Brown Bear, Black Bear, Mountain Goat, and Black-tail Deer.
